Watch the data quality

Most energy management software fails not on dashboards but on dirty data: missing reads, drifting meters, double-counted points. Insist on automated gap-filling, meter health alerts, and an audit trail. Garbage in, confident-looking garbage out.

Measurement and verification: proving the savings

When you upgrade controls or change a setpoint, how do you know it worked? M&V answers that. It builds a baseline of what the building would have used, adjusts that baseline for weather and occupancy, then measures the actual use against it.
