About this tool
Many GCC utilities bill commercial buildings on two clocks: the energy you use (kWh) and the peak demand you hit (kW), charged per kilowatt every month. That demand charge is set by a single worst quarter-hour, so one careless afternoon when the chillers, pumps, and tenant loads all surge together can lock in a high bill for the whole month.

The headline figure is what you stop paying each year in demand charges alone, before any energy savings. A 5 to 10% shave is usually achievable just by sequencing and staging large loads so they never all peak at once.
